These results are estimates only.

EU referendum results were officially counted and reported at local authority level. We report these on the website under the “European Elections” tab. The referendum results were not officially counted at the UK parliamentary constituency level. Parliamentary constituencies often overlap with local authorities, but are not always same.

As such, in addition to the official results, we also present estimates for UK Westminster constituencies provided by Professor Chris Hanretty, Royal Holloway, University of London. You can find more information on these estimates and how they were put together here.

In order to provide our users with as much information as possible, we display both the council results and the parliamentary constituency estimates on our site.

The first graph shows the share of the first-preference vote, while the second graph shows the final overall share of the vote between the top two candidates after second preferences are added.
